Yes, gradually. The metal darkens naturally over time, starting in the recesses. On VAERN pieces this brings out the texture. If you prefer a brighter finish, it's easy to restore.

How do I remove tarnish?

Rub gently with the polishing cloth included in your order for about thirty seconds. Avoid toothpaste, baking soda and dips — they can scratch the surface or strip the dark finish from the recesses.

Can I wear my VAERN piece every day?

Yes. It's made for it. Regular wear actually helps the patina build evenly. Just take it off for pools, hot tubs, hot springs and cleaning.

Do you offer professional cleaning or polishing?

Yes. Send your piece back and we'll clean and re-polish it, free for . You cover shipping to us; we cover shipping back. Include your order number and a photo when you get in touch.

What if my piece gets damaged?

Manufacturing defects are covered by our warranty — we'll repair or replace the piece. For accidental damage, contact us with a photo and we'll quote a repair.
